Daniel Webster Inn
Dining in Sandwich Village
Daniel Webster Inn and Restaurant sits in the middle of the Sandwich Village and if you like Colonial decor, then this is the place for you. We aren't big fans of Colonial motif but we've had some great meals here in both the more formal dining room and the Tavern.
The Tavern serves reasonably priced salads, burgers, pizzas and light dinner fare for under $20.00.
We like to sit at the bar or at one of the tables, grab a cocktail and enjoy the cozy and relaxed atmosphere. If you come during the off seasons, the Tavern does have a great fireplace and can be an imtimate or lively place for a drink.
The more formal Conservatory and Music Room offer a more upscale menu with entrees averaging $25.00 and up. Filet, rack of lamb, and seafood items are all good. They also have a good selection of “Green Palate”- a menu that incorporates organic foods when possible. (And for Vegans, there is the Vegetable Burrito with mock 'sour cream')
If you like a more formal Sunday Breakfast, then head to their Conservatory - an airy room off the formal dining room where they serve breakfast and brunch in the glassed in area. We sometimes feel we're in a time warp when eating in the Conservatory-guess this could use a 'freshening up',like the rest of the Inn..
A note to romantic couples - The Dan'l Webster Inn & Spa won Gold both for most Romantic Restaurant and for Fine Dining in the 2010 Best of the Cape & Islands Awards from Cape Cod Life Magazine!
